SGA 4x07: Missing

greenconverses Yet another episode I was greatly looking forward. Finally a Teyla centric episode with a bonus Jenn Keller on the side.
Pretty sure this is going to be fandom's least favorite episode of the season considering the boys only had about five minutes of screentime the entire episode and the focus was Teyla who is only there for the boob-and-ass factor. *eyeroll*
Being a Teyla fan, however, I enjoyed "Missing" thoroughly.
The Teyla and Keller interaction was great, even though I wanted Teyla to slap some sense into Keller during the first part of the episode. Keller's whinging was over-the-top at times, although I can forgive her since it was her first time off-world and she was being hunted by some cannibals. Keller did get better in the end when she finally stood up for herself. The, "First I'm going to need something to heal" line was AMAZING.
Teyla. Oh, Teyla. This episode was great for her. We got more insight into her background and the practices of her people...which we've been lacking since, oh I don't know, season two. John mentioning the feast in the opening sequence, the ten days in the woods practice, etc. Yeah, Kanan is a deux ex machina given Rachel's pregnacy, but Rachel gave a convincing delievery in that scene. I felt so bad for Teyla, finally getting guy, he disappears, and now she's pregnant.
And I cannot tell you what a relief it is that Teyla's baby is going to be NORMAL. Thank you, TPTB, thank you!
Also, Teyla was FUCKING BAD ASS in this episode. *flails* Beating on all those guys, getting whumped, beating up some more guys. I'm glad that we got to see her vicious and angry side. Teyla's a survivor and it's finally time that it's seen on the show.
I'm not surprised the Athosians got written out of the show. They must show up later in the season since Rachel mentioned getting to work with the Kanan actor later on. I bet Rachel's glad that she gets a whole bunch of new outfits this season, lol. I loved the leather outfit she had this episode - way better than that stupid snakeskin tie or whatever from the last few episodes.
And now that I'm finished squeeing over my gals, it's time for the boys.
Did anyone else just sigh happily when John was leaning against the balcony like that in the opening sequence? I know I did. And he was liek totally jealouz that his gurl had a hawt date that wasn't him.
I love how all three of the boys know Teyla so well that they won't even hesistate to go after her. She doesn't party hard, she isn't late, she's responsible...See? She is just as important as the rest of them, even with her girl parts and all!
All right. It's official. John and Rodney are NERD BOYS. NERDS. If the SGA bunch all went to high school together, Ronon would be the cool guy that got all the girls, Teyla would also be cool, and John and Rodney would be playing D&D in their basements on Friday nights. But that doesn't stop me from loving them any less.
I think Ronon won at life for his reply to Rodney's "Arrows can hurt!" "Only if you're stupid enough to get hit in the ass with one." That is probably the best line of Season Four so far. Rodney's never going to live that down.
AND WTF IS UP WITH THE CLIFFHANGER?! I know all of fandom knows what's gonna happen BUT STILL!
I was screaming at the screen for like ten minutes after it was over with.
Did anyone else enjoy that the S4 episodes are going to be replayed on Fridays before the new episodes now? Awesome! I'd rather watch that then the trash that is Flash Gordon.
