brb, my inner eight year old is freaking out and acting like I haven't seen this movie a million billion times already.

I spent a good chunk of my weekend reading this: Mark Reads Harry Potter.

Reading his commentary on the series is hilarious, first of all, but it also just reminds me how much I love those books. Every chapter he goes through takes me back to when I first started the series (which, holy fuck, was eleven years ago when i was ten, i am so old) and how utterly mind blowing all the twists and turns were the first time around. And it's just exciting waiting for him to post a new chapter reaction because he doesn't know what's coming and half the greatness of getting new people to read Harry Potter (or any series) is waiting for their OMGWTF reaction during the good parts and then squeeing with them.

...I need more HP icons.
