I know we've got less than a day left, but the UK Percy Jackson website has some better character profiles up for Jason, Leo and Piper with a crap ton of information about them. Well, compared to the other sites anyway.

Yeah, Leo's still my favorite. I think he'll keep on being my favorite from this "new generation" of demigods (even though they're only like a year younger, shhh!)

But think logically. This can't take place directly after TLO, because TLO took place at the end of summer, and this sounds like it takes place in spring or so. So at least 6 months had to have passed, hopefully more.

(It is really hard to think rationally when all I want to do is demand that RR rewrite TLH so that is has nico and percy and percabeth and everything that he doesn't have in it because he decided that a good way to increase his fanbase was to be a STUPID MEANYFACE!)

I read somewhere it takes place in winter 2010. So I'm gonna try to visit the Grand Canyon around that time. xD

AND SAME. My family has learned that if I start babbling incohrently I'm thinking about TLH. It's kind of embarassing, really ...

I feel like that one is less of a preconceived notion and more of a...well, didn't RR, like, SAY at some point that our former heroes would be older? By older, I didn't think he meant "one year has passed," because that was the natural sequence of the first series anyway. I thought they'd at least be 18. If the book takes place in winter/spring, maybe it's about a year and a half? So they'd still technically be seventeen, but more than a year has passed. Is that possible? I sort of hate the thought that Percy and Annabeth got, like, NO time to be happy and normal and relationshipy before disaster struck again. I mean, they defeated Kronos. Give them more than a 6 month break. Y'know?

Then again, RR has always been kind of weird about ages...Percy was 16 and going into 10th grade. Now, I know Percy has been to private school in the NY area his whole life, and they often have a cut-off (though it's usually September or October and not mid-August). But Annabeth was in the same grade, and she's, I believe, supposed to be a few months older. So sometimes it's sort of like with JKR and her maths and you can't quite be sure what's going on there. For all we know, RR believes two years has passed but has somehow only made his characters one year older. (I think my bitterness is showing...)
