quick question

I've noticed in recent days that FFnet isn't displaying the asterisks I use for scene changes/dividers on my fics anymore. Has this happened to anyone else's non-standard FFnet dividers or is it just my fics being weird?

ff.net is very picky about what you type. Not so much what you write in the actual chapter as what you write in reviews. But there are some things you can't do period, like: **** if that's what you were trying, or even * * * *. It's really lame. They're forcing us to be really creative in coming up with dividers.

Since I rarely review, I don't notice it all too much! I did notice that they trimmed off extra letters in some of my reviews which kind of changed the meaning of everything. I just wish they would tell you what is and isn't allowed.

You can't even write numbers in reviews. Like... 1,000-- you can't write that. Anything with consecutive numbering or lettering like that automatically gets chopped down (unless it's in their archive, which apparently numbers aren't).

While we're on the subject, you can't post links either! Not even links to stories on ff.net, despite them telling you that you can.

I've had trouble with that as well. Very inconsistently, to boot. :x I think I just started using dashes instead, but they're not as pretty.

Yeah, I think they've done this before and it ticked me off then too. I don't want to use their ugly lines! :(

Actually, I just checked and you're right. Most of my asterisks are gone! The weird thing is--not all of them are. For example, the bolded ones are safe? I don't know. What a pain.

Eff, that's going to be fun to go and replace. They've done this before without telling people and it was great fun then too.
