NaNo '09: The Dirty Details

I'm for sure doing a Percy Jackson and the Olympians fan fic for NaNoWriMo this year because I feel like I'll have a higher chance of finishing it over everything else I had to choose from. Sad, but true.
I've also decided that I'm not going to use the AU plot since I have a lot of future scenes written out and I wouldn't be able to use them in the actual NaNo story. Word counting around those scenes would get kind of annoying, plus I'd have to start in an awkward place -- right in the middle of the first chapter. Not exactly the best place for me.
The plot I am using was actually inspired by one of the prompts during the last
pjo_fic_batte that completely spiraled out of control and into some epic plot that I wouldn't be able to finish in two weeks. The prompt was Percy & Grover, save the satyr, save the world, but the entire cast ended up jumping in and making it slightly more crazy than it should've been during the plotting process.
The basic plot breakdown: Percy's on his way to college and ready to leave the whole Olympian hero business behind him. When Rachel begins dreaming about terrible things and strange things start happening, Percy is determined that whatever is happening will not be His Problem until it's revealed that Grover has disappeared. The half-bloods discover that he has been kidnapped by a human corporation and if they don't find him and rescue him before it's too late, they risk an upheaval of nature and the death of The Wild altogether.
But what the half-bloods don't realize is that there's a more sinister reason for Grover's disappearance. A power-hungry human who can see through the Mist and his demigod accomplices are harvesting the supernatural abilities of other demigods and mystical creatures for their own gain, and Percy is their next target.
I need to get plotting, but I can't wait to start writing it. Definitely
going to be fun!
