I also love that Annabeth took a page out of Percy's book and has extreme loyalty to him. I also like to think that Percy is more confident because of her. Good influences all around. :)
A note about the personification of the sea: you've just fulfilled one of my lifelong fic dreams. In my own happy head land, I always figured that since Annabeth had such a close relationship with Percy, plus the fact that her mom is the sea's greatest rival, it would treat her different somehow. That was actually the motivation for my (terrible) first fanfic ever, but since I didn't exactly carry it out like I wanted to, I'm so glad you did. ♥
