In other Percy Jackson and the Olympians related news...
pjo_fic_battle is hosting the first fic prompt battle, The Battle for Half-Blood Hill!
Prompts will be accepted from Friday, June 12 to Friday, June 19. This is my first time hosting and organizing something like this, so please go and submit a bunch to make it the best we can!
Pass the word along to anyone you think might be interested!

Date: 2009-06-12 05:10 am (UTC)The set up for the prompts for this one is to pick a character, pairing, or grouping you'd want someone to write a fic about, and then a word or phrase that you'd want to be the subject of the fic.
Like, for instance, you give a prompt like "Percy/Annabeth, cake." Someone will presumably write a Percy/Annabeth fic somehow involving cake. It's pretty simple once you get used to it. I might submit some of my own prompts just so people get the general idea of what's going - I know there's a lot of people who haven't done one of these before.
Did that help? I always feel like I'm not explaining these sorts of things well enough!

Date: 2009-06-12 05:25 am (UTC)The prompts are usually the easy part because they can be pretty random. I usually do parts of song lyrics or something like silly like, "so-and-so, table." If you don't think too hard about them, they pop up really easy.
