I think a lot of people believe they're not going to get caught when the plagiarize, which DOESN'T MAKE SENSE because it's not like this awesome thing called GOOGLE can't catch your plagiarizing ass in less than five minutes. Sooner or later, you're going to get caught if you plagiarize.
I totally over cite everything too. I had a billion citations in the mini thesis I wrote last semester.
